Vocabulary Practice: The class will play stand up, hand up, pair up to review vocabulary words.
Shared Writing: The class will participate in a shared writing project about why the digestive system is important to the human body.
7. Now, glue the shared writing, the vocabulary words, and a copy of the digestive system into your science notebook (The teacher will give you all the materials you need to finish this part of the project) - once you glue them into your notebook, these pieces will be there for you to look at whenever you need to!
8. Finally, we will be splitting into groups to share what we've learned today. Each group will write a poster about what they've learned about their assigned body parts. Bring your science notebook if you need to!
Group 1: Esophagus
Group 2: Stomach
Group 3: Small Intestine
Group 4: Large Intestine
Things That need to be included in the poster are:
1. The name of the body part
2. What the body part does
3. Why it is important to the digestive system
4. At least one picture
